Fishing can be done in many different ways like, trapping, fixing a bait to a fishing rob and placing it in water with the basic intention of catching fishes. Fishes are also caught with the help of nets which are spread out by fishermen.
The expression fishing is not generally used for pursuing aquatic mammals like whales, where the expression "whaling" is more suitable.
