What Is Abstract?

The word 'abstract' has its various uses and in almost all the contexts, the term has only one meaning. It describes a concept in which some figure is being depicted but when you give ample thinking to the figure, it gives you completely different meaning than what it gives in the usual case.
      
The word has its uses in science also and there it describes an area of study which has no tangible purpose but it still an important part of the study of the science because it leads to a theory that is usually unheard of. Though the word has been used in various contexts, its prime use is in the context of arts where artists use different figures to convey some profound thought.
