Northern Ireland is a beautiful country and the people are seemingly friendly. The violence that has torn the country in two for so many years has significantly calmed down and there is much to enjoy in the sights and sites across the country. Yet, it is possible that the place still isn't right and there are a number of causes. The place isn't contemporary, much of the time, it's like living in the Seventies. Of course, this is due to the British and their strangle hold on the country, which couldn't progress with the rest of the UK and Ireland.
The people are indeed friendly if you need to know how to get to the chemist, but beyond that, the suspicion of strangers and the close and closed communities keeps people from getting too close.
The political assembly is new again and there are hopes, but the infrastructure of the nation needs significant investment to progress.
