    I Have An Old House With Original Doublehung Windows,the Top Sash Keeps Slipping Down. How Do I Get It To Stay Up? Is There A Good Book That Shows How To Repair Old Windows?

    Hi, My house is old and I don't want to replace the old wooden windows with new ones. I don't have funds to hire someone to fix them and like DIY projects anyway. Please let me know how to fix the top window so that it won't slip down. Or point me in the right direction to find my answer. I have been searching and haven't found it. If you know of a good book on the subject even I would be very happy. Thanks! Patty

    Yes, you can repair it and for that you don't need a book. You need to purchase a glue and then you should apply it to your window. It would not slip down anymore.
