Has My Dog Eaten Poison?
Chewed up a roach trap
Answers
Yes you should call your veteniarn immediately and also have one of the traps with you, if you still have the box it came in you can also contact the distributor of the trap. I would not wait very long certain things can make them suffer very badly and they could possibly die

Most ant and roach baits are typically non-toxic though they can cause vomiting and diarrhea from the dietary indiscretion. There are a few brands that contain forms of arsenic or organophosphates (most of these are discontinued but if you have an old bait could be a concern) and these may require decontamination.
Often the biggest concern is for a foreign body obstruction is they ate the trap in one piece. This can block the intestines and then surgery becomes necessary.
If you have the box the roach bait came in I would contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control center for more information. Some boxes will have a number to call for questions after accidental ingestion and often can help with pet ingestions too.
