What Are The Compounds That Make Up Blood?

    Blood is not a compound, blood is a liquid as in water (H2O) with only a few chemical compounds such as Iron so that blood will retain it's red appearance when in the presence of oxygen, otherwise blood carries cells also called organelles which allow the body to function. One of the principle function's of blood is to carry oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.
