The one a day allergy tablets are becoming more popular because if they work, taking one pill a day is a lot more convenient than taking 3-4. They are also cheaper for companies to make as people aren't using as many and they are paying more for them. This means that they have quickly over taken the allergy tablets which you can take whenever you need them, and in some cases they have stopped being sold altogether.

There are other options though and these days you can either buy nasal sprays which work really quickly, or you can even get liquid allergy relief. Failing that, you can always visit your doctor and ask about 'Piriton' tablets. These have been around for years but some doctors did stop prescribing them when the one-a-day pill came about. If you explain that the one-a-days do not work for you, they will consider putting you on the Piritons.
