Hi Mizglow,
the equation seems to missing a symbol. Is there a + or - between 6x and 1?

If equation is
X^2 + 6x + 1 = 0
Then the solution is
X^2 + 6x + 1 = 0
X^2 + 6x = -1
Adding 9 at both side you will get
X^2 + 6x + 9 = -1 +9
X^2 + 6x + 9 = 8
As (x+3)^2 = x^2 + 6x+ 9
(x-3)^2 = 8
By taking square root of both sides you will get
x-3 = + sqrt(8)
So either
x = 3-sqrt(8) or x = 3+sqrt(8) >>>answer
Have a nice day buddy :)
