What Information Is Needed When Typing A Work Cited Page?
I know the author and the name of the book...but what else goes after that?
Answers
You should also include year of publication, name of publisher, volume number if it's a journal you're citing, and other information depending on the kind of publication. The best way is to follow a style guide - you could ask if the uni/college/organisation you are writing for has a preferred style. If not, it's usually OK to use MLA or APA - the owl at purdue is an excellent resource. If you choose on of these styles and click on the link to it, you will find full instructions for both in-text and end citation. The main thing is, once you have chosen a style, to stick to it.
