I Tend To Suffer From A Lot Of Migraines. Why Is This And How Can I Stop Them?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Migraines are extremely common and they can be incredibly painful. A number of things could be causing your migraines including fatigue, bright lights, strong smells and stress. As well as a severe headache, many sufferers also experience symptoms of nausea; sensitivity to smells and to lights, and you could also feel prickly on one side of your body.

Luckily there are quite a lot of medications available to cure migraines, though it often takes a bit of experimenting to see which ones actually work for you. Usually ones which can be bought over the counter at your local pharmacy tend to work really well. However, if you find that nothing works for you, you should seek medical advice from your doctor and they will be able to tell you if there is an underlying cause of your migraines and they can also prescribe you stronger medication.

I suffer from migraine headaches, and inherited them from my mom. SO they are genetic, but are also caused by environmental things like cigarette smoke, bright sunlight, extreme high temps, perfumes and also certain foods too. When I get a bad one, I have to take a prescription pain pill, and lie down in a cool dark and quiet room. You need to see your doctor to decide what treatment and prevention is best for you. God bless.
