What Do You Think About Analysis? Is It Effective?

If this is an opinion question... I guess it depends on what is being analyzed. Some things are hard truths, such as, the cup in front of me is purple, and if I sit here and analyze the color until I go crazy, then no, analysis was not effective. Some might say it's light purple, but that's just a matter of opinion.

Analysis can be effective in your own behaviour. Over analysis can be harmful. For example, if you yelled at your mom when she walked in the door and said hi, you can analyze why you snapped at her, and try to prevent that from happening again. I think more people should analyze their own behaviour and understand themselves better.

I believe debates (which could be considered analyzing a problem) are effective, also. You can get more than one solution to a problem and solve the problem in the easiest way possible.
