Do You Put A Lot Of Credence In The Farmer's Almanac?

The TV news here in KC has said the Farmer's Almanac predicts a hard, cold, and devastating winter for the East Coast and for the MidWest. I love winter, but what do you think about predictions by the Almanac?

I never really follow them, but I have heard that they are very accurate. I don't know, you might want to keep that in mind this winter. I think that we are in for it too.

yes- better to be prepared. our local forecaster has talked of lots of ice this winter, i'd rather have snow- but we just stock up and stay in.

I have never used one but I know my grandfather used it and was about 90% correct and was the protector of the family, could tell them what to prepare for and what to look forward too, really for the winter months when we would have a massive snow storm, and could not get anywhere or trucks could not deliver, but than again my grandfather was a farmer and did a lot of canning etc. For those winter storms.
