    I Had To Give My Boss My Original Food Handlers Card To Keep On File As Per Az. Law. Last Week She Threw My Card Away In A Fit Of Rage. Is There Any Type Of Law Prohibiting Such Abuse?

    Is there a law against retaliation by a vicious employer?

    Contact the state health board. They can reissue a copy, or at least give you your cert. #. Since this is a "boss", contact the company owner. Tell them you want reimbursement cost. Operations are required to view your certification, & keep a copy on premises.

      Thanks for your input. I reside in Phoenix, Az. I was informed by the Health Dept. that they have too many certifications to keep track of. Even though I just renewed my card last month, I now have to retake the course to be re-certified. I am forwarding a complaint to the corporate office regarding my ex- Boss's behavior and bad judgement.
