How Do I Remove Varnish From My Painted Wall?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Varnish is a very slick chemical and requires strong chemicals to remove it. Such as; mineral spirits, etc. The problem is that you would have to vigorously scrub the varnish which would also take the paint off the walls.
If the varnish isn't a thick layer, suggest you put a coat of water based  flat primer, (not latex), on it and repaint the area.
