Why Did My Rats Die?

I have 3 rats all about a year old. A momma, daddy, and a baby female. The 2 females share a cage and the male has a small cage, i leave the door open so he can run free. I came home and found my 2 females dead. One was on her back, the other was on her belly, both with blood comming from the mouths. Could they have been poisioned??? I feed them everything i eat. If it was something in my room wouldnt the male be dead? He runs free on the shelf

To you have anything poisonous to eat anywhere around where they died? I don't really know much but they could have killed each other. If they got into anything sharp that may have cut their mouths and bled to death. I don't really know.
