My Puppy Is Throwing Up Partially Digested Food From Worms, Should I Take Him To The Vet To Get Another De-worming?

I took my puppy to the vet for his worm shots and I got into a conversation with another customer and he told me that he sprinkles a little Garlic Powder in his dogs food once every 3 to 4 months for worms. His dogs were both over 8 yrs old and he says he has not had a worm problem since. So I have been doing it as well. Neither my puppy or my older dog has had any reaction from the garlic powder.
