DNA carries the genetic information and most of the non-science people always surprise that where it does carry information. In fact DNA has small genes on it. There are bases which include Adenine, guanine, thymine and Cytosine and along with the nucleic acid they form the DNA. The genes are coded on the DNA which carry the genetic information in DNA. Do you mean where in DNA is information stored? Or where exactly DNA is found? Inside DNA strands there are long chains of nucleotides which contain bases amongst other things. These bases, as the other person said are Adenine, Guanine, Thymine and Cytosine. Bases are arranged in order, so that they code for your specific characteristics, and make up your genes. DNA is stored in the nucleus of every cell in your body (except red blood cells which don't have nuclei).
