What Is An Orbital Revolution?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Orbital revolution is basically the recurring pathway, which is basically taken by one object and moved around another object.

In terms of astronomy it refers to a kind of a movement of big huge masses, which generally surrounds the centre of mass of a particular system.  An example of a movement could be a moon moving around the planet. Such a revolution was earlier known as elliptical orbits by Kepler. It was only later that Newton offered a physical model to this kind of motion. It was after this that the Theory of relativity  was developed by Albert Einstein.
