Which Is The Largest Sea Ship That Has Ever Sailed?

The largest ship title can be shared by two ships the cruise ship M/S Freedom of the Seas and the ocean liner RMS Queen Mary 2. The cruise ship Freedom of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International) is the largest ship by way of weight at 158,000 gross ton; however in terms of height (236 ft), width (135 ft) and length (1,132 ft) the ocean liner Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) is ahead.

The Freedom of the Seas made her first voyage in June 2006 and with her main stops being in the Caribbean, the Queen Mary 2 made her first transatlantic voyage in January 2004 from Southampton, England to Florida, USA. The Freedom of the Seas' special features are a water park, complete sports facilities with rock climbing and a skating rink as well as a restaurant including a coffee shop; the Queen Mary 2 has on board a planetarium, a ballroom, a casino, swimming pools and various restaurants suited for all tastes, it was the flag ship at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
