I am not sure if you understand the place we are in the present but when the banks crashed the world went on a very large down turn this means all over the world there has been a down turn and we are all in a very dark place at this time . But this said the green shoots of a up turn are starting to show, so thats why the two places you ask about are in a very weakened state but things will get better .
