Could It Be Real?....or Is It A Game?

I met this guy from my myspace page..he sent me messages saying I look nice on my pics. On my page. Weve been talking for about a month and a half. Yesterday he was talking about how he has fallen in love with me that he wants me to come to ghana to meet him and his family. Im not dumb because Im not going, but my question is... Is he for real or is it just a game? The last thing I want to do is play with someones feelings.

I'm glad to hear that you are not jumping on a plane to ghana without looking into this situation more. You need to be careful when it comes to meeting people from the internet. If you feel that you do have a real connection with this man, then I am suggesting having him come to your town. I think it is important that you do not meet him alone. Also, many of these men online are trying to con women into giving them money, one way or another. So please do not send him any money. You also need to seriously consider if it would make sense for you to meet a man from ghana ( i dont know where you are from..) if you are not planning to relocate. Long distance relationships are very difficult. He may seriously have feelings for you, but do you think a month and a half is enough time for him to really fall in love? I am no expert, but I just wanted to give you some things to think about before you make any rash decisions. Good luck!

Thank you for your comment. I was just wanting to know if he was for real..because for me I never date or find men to date on a chat line or web page.. I just needed to know if I should block him from sending me email?

I think that you should get to know a little more about this man and also why don't you have him come see you first and then if you feel comfortable enough with him then go meet his family. Just be careful

Don't Go!  You will join the thousands of people scammed.  Worse even if he is real there is a vast difference between the cultural expectations.  And Never send money!!   The new breed of scam artists are able to keep it up for a long time just don't.  I realise how hard it is and that a good looking person is hard to find, but a rip-off is harder.  Also people lie.

I had the experience, and It will be years getting out of this.
