Paul Valery was a French poet as well as a critic. He was a student of law. In the time of his student-hood he used to be a poet. He used to start writing in his note book from the year of 1894. The collection of his poetry of various note books of different times was published as the famous collection 'Cashier'.
'La Jeune Parque' one of his greatest collection of lyric poems was published in the year of 1917. It was a collection of his unpublished revised poems from his earlier diary work. Paul revised his other unpublished works from the year 1890 to 1900 and in the year of 1920 another great poetry collection was published in the name of 'Album de vers anciens'. In the year of 1922, his greatest collection was brought out in the name of 'Charmes ou poems'. The book contained his most popular poem, 'Le cimetiere marin'. The poem established Paul as one of the greatest poets rather than just French poets of his time.
