Hello - Hopefully you found the answer by now. But if not, here's some help; The value really depends on the condition of the coin. There is a grading system that many companies (NGC, PCGS, ANACS) use to help define the condition and the value of a coin. It also depends on what type of $1 coin it is; i.e., Liberty Head, Indian Head, etc. Finally the value also depends on how rare the coin may be and whether there were a huge amount minted, or lower amount, and whether or not, the type of coin you have is rare in circulation. The value can start at about $300 and climb into the thousands, depending on the grade, condition, and rarity. Hope this info helps.
