I can tell you a simple way of tying a noose but a pictorial representation that you can find on www.ehow.com will be more helpful. First, hold the rope in your left hand the other end in your right hand. Cross the ending from above the rope as a loop to figure an X. Make sure that the end of the rope is running top-left to bottom right to form the X. Next, you should wrap the end part of the rope approximately at the back of the loop where you are holding the X. This should form a ring behind the loop. To finally make a noose, push the end of the rope down in a way that it goes through the circle and pull the knot tight. The knot stays in place while the loop, which is the noose, stays adjustable.
