The term illusion basically refers to some thing which deceives by producing a fake or misleading impression of reality. An illusion can also be understood as the alteration of a sensory view, enlightening how the brain in general systematizes and understands sensory stimulation. Even as illusions alter authenticity, they are normally common between most people; illusion can take place with each of the human sense. The emphasis on visual illusions takes place as the vision generally dominates the other senses. Visual illusions are most well explained and understood.

Quiet a few illusions are based on universal conjectures which the brain makes during perception. These assumptions are thought off by applying universal principles like Gestalt, which is a person capability of depth awareness and perceptual dependability.
