 Database is an organized collection of logically related data, usually designed to meet the information needs of multiple users in an organization.

There are two types of database in information retrieval service. These are flat file database and relational database.

The purpose of database is to organize, store, and retrieve information as efficiently and effectively as possible

 Hi There are different types of databases which you can retrieve databse information and the difference is
1. Flat filedatabase like Microsoft  excel
You can just save and retrieve it and print it
 
2. Relational Database like Microsoft Access Microsoft SQL Oracle and so on you can create query and reports and program it and make it very user friendly and its mostly used in corporate world
