There is a considerable difference between Wahhabism and Sunni Islam. Technically speaking, the Wahhabi's are suppose to be Sunni but renounce all traditional teachings passed down through 14 centuries. Traditional Islam, that is, the Sunni's your referring to follow the 4 traditional schools of Jurisprudence (Fiqh) Hanifi, Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali. Mainstream Islam is Sunni and don't consider Wahhabi's as part of the Ahl-us-Sunnah (Sunnism). Wahhabi's are considered a reformist Hanbali sect. There are various things that Wahhabi's condemn that Sunni's believe and practice, such as the use of Misbaha Beads, celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (SAW) as well has harshly denouncing Tasawwuf, the inner dimension of Islam. Some of the beliefs disallowed by Sunni islam and that are openly proclaimed by Wahhabi's is the position that Allah (SWT) has humanly attributes such as legs, thighs and a face.
