How Do Camels Survive In Hot Weather?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Camels have an excellent ability to store water in their body fluids, and are also very good at keeping perspiration to a minimum during hot weather.

The hump itself only stores excess food reserves, not water.  Metabolization of the fats in the hump to produce energy does yield water, but the respiration required for the metabolism offsets that water release.

Their eye lids are very special . It is dust proof. Their body is way away from the ground to keep away from the heat.they have the capacity to hold drinking water in their body.they actually sweat very less.
