Are Pekin Ducks Aggressive?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Generally not.  Males (drakes) can be aggressive towards other animals if they've assumed and alpha male role of a larger flock.  However, ducks being aggressive towards humans is very rare.

According to eFowl.com's listing of Pekin Ducks are the most popular domestic ducks as they have a "calm demeanor and relaxed temperament".

Basically, they are really only aggressive in very specific situations, while being relatively docile all other times.

One of my female ducks has aquired black marks under her eyes which are exactly symetrical. Could it be that the the other duck(also female) has pecked her?
