Hans Herrmann is a retired Formula One driver born on February 23, 1928 from Stuttgart, Germany. He took part in a total of 18 Grand Prix making his first appearance on August 2, 1953. He had one podium finish and scored a total of ten championship points through out his career.
Herrmann a baker by profession started his career during the Porsche dominance days at 24 Hours of Le Mans. He also started in races like Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and Carrera Panamericana. He is one of the few people remaining from that Era.
He was part of the Mercedes-Benz factory team 1954-55 as a junior driver. His best result was a podium finish at the 1954 Swiss Grand prix while using the older version of Mercedes-Benz W196 know as the least reliable car.
