After the death of coach Bob Woolmer, the Pakistan Cricket Board has been contemplating hard over the prospect of the selection of the new national coach.  There have been a series of many names, both national and international, which the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is pondering over, nevertheless the authorities still have not been able to reach a definite and official decision.  As for the latest target hunt for the prestigious position, the PCB has singled out the name of Dave Whatmore, who was the former coach of Bangladesh, who defeated Pakistan in the league match in the 1999 Cricket World Cup.  Not only that but Dave Whatmore also helped Sri Lanka score their first mega victory in the Cricket World Cup 1996.  This gives the Pakistan Cricket Board enough and profound reason for thinking over the prospect of offering Dave Whatmore the position of the coach for the Pakistan Cricket Team, who is due to play a series of three one-day internationals against the runners-up of the 2007 Cricket World Cup Sri Lanka.
