How Do You Know Preschool Teachers' Aren't Educated?

Though a degree in teaching, a high school diploma, community college courses or a teacher's training courses etc certainly help, it is not necessary for the preschool teacher to be trained. A preschool teacher can work in licensed preschools, day care centres and private schools, public schools, nursery schools etc. He or she teaches children from infancy to the age of 5.

Preschool teachers play an ideal role in shaping the child's development and learning capability. Most parents enroll their children in a preschool so that they learn by interacting with other kids. The preschool teacher attends to the basic needs of the child and helps the child learn by playing different games and reciting poems. She organizes activities that help the child develop their talents, make them feel independent, nourish their self-esteem and also teach them the norms of good behaviour.

Next to parents and family, your child's preschool teacher will be one of the most important people in his and her life.  He or she will have contact with this person up to 10 hours per day.  Sometimes teachers will spend more time with a child than the parents do.  This teacher must have patience, intelligence, and a great understanding of the nature of children.

A preschool teacher must be able to work day to day with each child as he or she comes to preschool.  All children are different .   You must look for a teacher who has longevity at his or her position.  If you ask, you will be able to find out how much education each teacher has.  More and more preschools and encouraging teachers to take classes in order to become professionals with diplomas in early childhood education.  Most of us are proud to let potential clients know how much education that we have.
