People do make progress with therapy and counseling. It depends on the depth of the problem, and the severity of the issues that the person is dealing with. I wouldn't discount the help that is there for people who go to therapy. Hope this helps, good luck.

Absolutely ! It gives the person a chance to speak freely with a psychiatrist who will offer an unbiased opinion in return! Also just the ability to openly vent without the fear of hurting friends or family members feelings often helps greatly
