How Do You Plant A Garden?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

To plant a garden some of the things that you need to first check on are if you garden is conveniently close to your house whether water is very easy accessible, the soil is good enough for the cultivation, and most of all try and have a boundary around so that trespassers do not keep plucking out your plants.

Start with by thinking small. By thinking small I mean start with by planting the garden really small and then expanding it. Don't try and complete the entire process in a day. It is just not possible to do it. Try and build your plants in a row and most of all while you purchasing the plants see to it that plants that fall in a similar row are somewhat similar to one and another. Try and use adequate fertilizers and use pesticides too.

I would recommend getting a basic book on the type of gardening you are looking into, i.e. Flower or vegetable or herb.  Some vegetables benefit each other when planted side by side.  The book can explain testing your soil for it's pH factor if you care to get into that depth, along with composting, pests etc.  I love gardening!  You will find a lifetime of joy in a garden.
