Perhaps your transmission is not reaching his fax machine at all, but is "lost" in errantly sending to another number which could be invalid if all codes are not entered properly according to your machine's format for dialing.  Please check the number you are sending to.  Sometimes the fax machine will require a certain prefix to be entered by sender, especially if international fax.  To diagnose if this is occurring, ask your recipient to be near his fax when you are ready to send to see if his machine is noting incoming attempts.  This is the most likely and common cause of this problem, so verify the number of recipients fax and any preceding prefix that should be entered on your machine and or also in your computer's fax settings (for example with international dialing).  You may change this in your settings in control panel if you are windows user.
