What To Do For A Pinched Nerve In The Neck?

Answer Question

Trigger point relief therapy is one possible solution.  You should first go to a licensed message therapist familiar with this approach to identify your trigger points.  Once found you can apply these yourself.

Aleve or Advil antiinflamatories can also assist.

Taking a hot shower or using a hot tub with gentle neck jets may also assist.  It is more the hot water than it is the jets.

Get a rolledup towel to lay under your neck when laying down.  Be sure to not elevate the neck to put to much pressure.  Find the balance of some relief with just enough pressure.

The tempurpedic pillows may also offer some relief including changing your bed to to tempurpedic.   If this path is chosen I recommend going to a high end hotel to sleep overnight ...one that has such a bed before you buy.  Some people find the mattress too restricting or hot.
