L.A. Is East Or West Of The Prime Meridian?

Please Is For A Project

Los Angeles is at 33˚ 56' North, 118˚ 24' West.  So it is considered west of the Prime Meridian.

You could actually travel either way from the Prime Meridian to go to Los Angeles, but going west would be a shorter trip.  To go east, you would travel 242˚ of longitude, but if you went west, you would only travel about 118˚ of longitude.

Both, depending on which direction you turn from 0 degrees.  It is closer going west.
