What "Urban Legends" Have You Heard Of?

Wow, good question.I'm a fan of urband legends and myths.there's bloody mary-candyman-people waking up to find there organs gone-the dog cooked in the microwave-the babysitter and the clown statue which turned out to be a midget-the one about a woman cutting her tongue on an envelope and ending up with roach eggs in her tongue-the bride who burned herself to death in a tanning bed-A woman who reaches out to pet her dog at nite, in the dark, and gets licked,she wakes up in the morning to find her dog dead on her bed with a note "humans can lick too"- That one scares the hell out of me and I don't scare easily!!Years ago a bus stalls on train tracks, and everyone gets killed,its said that if you put your car in neutral on those same tracks you will get pushed to safety and find little hand prints on your car.Two girls are college room mates one stays home to study and the other one goes to a party.When she gets back, its dark and there's noise coming from her room mates bed.She figures her room mate is getting busy and without turning on the light goes to bed.She wakes up in the morning to find her room mate dead and written on the wall in her blood is " YOU SHOULD HAVE TURNED ON THE LIGHTS." A woman is driving home late at night when a car comes up behind her pretty quick and  pulls up besides her and  motions her to pull over. Scared, the woman drives faster. The car darts back behind her flashes his lights  franticly.The woman pulls into her driveway, with the man right behind her, and races for the house.Just as she reaches the door she hears a man yell "call the police and lock your door."The woman turns back curiously and sees the car that followed her,with the man still in it.She glances at her car and there in the back seat is a crazed looking man with a knife. My favorite is the one about a couple who comes home from a night of drinking to  find their dog choking.The husband is to drunk to do anything so he goes up to bed while the woman rushes the dog to a Vet friend of theres.The Vet tells her to go home he'll take care of the dog and call her in the morning.She goes home and is just about to get into bed when the phone rings.She answers it  to hear the Vet telling her to stay calm, get her husband and get out of the house now.They do and shortly there after the cops show up and rush into the house.The couple are now wondering whats going on when the Vet shows up and tells them the dog was choking on a human finger.The cops find a badly bleeding man whose missing a finger in the bedroom closet.GOOD DOGGY!! I've heard more but I think I've kept you busy long enough with these . OOHH, one more have you heard the one about the escaped mental patient with the axe?? You see he likes to break into houses late at nite, when its quiet or the people in the house are occupied, he sneaks up behind you without a sound, grabs you and throws you on the floor,  and chops off one leg, then the other, so you can't run away.Then he cuts off your fingeres one by one.He's not done yet, he then ripps out your eyes with his fingers and makes you eat them. While your laying there in agony, blood gushing out from your wounds and your pleading for him to stop he lets out  a sick laughing scream then he slowly raises his axe and WHAM in one move he severs your head !! Did you hear that noise, did it come from my house or yours??  I think maybe you should go check,and keep a watch out behind you for an escaped mental patient with an axe!!!!!

I've never exactly heard of one. The one you heard seems cool though. Maybe I should search one out on the Internet someday.

I have heard of people being afraid to walk under ladders, and I have also heard that if you dream of jumping off of a cliff and free-falling, and no one saves you in the dream, that you will die in your sleep. But of course these are all superstitious and silly, so don't get too paranoid about it, Tiggs. I have a book I got @ Barnes & Noble called "Weird Missouri"  It is excellent and covers stuff like this.  I did not know Missouri was so creepy- haunted places, notorious places, etc.  There is also other books about other states, too so check them out!  There is story in it about the headlights too, and ghost cars etc.  We have a lot of old west, and civil war history here in Independence MO and lots of old historic houses and buildings said to be haunted.

That sounds very crazy and I also heard about that.  I don't really know anymore right now.

I wouldn't worry about that TM, but I hear the moose are getting together a hunting party to go after your husband to avenge their brothers.

I heard of one...don't know which state this happens in but, there was a bus load of children going home from school. The bus was crossing railroad tracks, but the bus stalled right on the tracks, and consequently the bus was struck by a train. Everyone perished. But they say that now, if you go there and stop your car on those railroad tracks, you will see little hand prints on the back of your car...as if the children are trying to push the stopped car out of the way. Spooky~ saw it on tv. I, for one, would not want to attempt this experiment.

No I have never heard of it but it sounds pretty cool. After reading all of the peoples answers though I think I have it was some where in the US and had to do with trains and I know a bunsh of people died and that is about it.

How about the one that has a couple making out at the lovers lookout and the girl says to the guy i hear a noise out there. The guy says it is nothing and drives home in the morning they see a bloody hook from a mans arm hanging from the door handle !

I'm a Cowboy out of the woods and this is all new stuff I've never heard of before!
