How Do You Define A Schematic Editor?

Answer Question

The schematic editor is actually an environment where we can draw the circuit schematics. In the early days, this drawing work of circuit schematics was done on papers manually which seems a hard work. This manual sketching takes a lot of time and a lot of attention because a minor error can create a major disturbance in the whole circuit design.
With the passage of time different design tools have been developed that help in circuit sketching and further automation process.

The schematic editor is a drawing area where the circuit designer can easily design a schematic. There different components are available that can be combined as required in a circuit design. It saves time as well as energy wasted on manual drawing.
The main advantage of these schematic editors is that it can capture the schematic data in a form that is suitable for further processing in the electronic circuit design cycle.

There are many other facilities provided by these editors like ; these editors are supplemented with a library of standard electronic components, they can easily detect and report flaws/errors in the schematic,  they are capable of displaying the schematic data in various formats, they can generate the documentation against the schematic etc.
