Shaving Or Waxing Was A Past Question On Here: Does Anyone Know What Kind Of Razors Is Good?

I am asking to try and find out what kind of razor is good for shaving below. I have tried all different types but keep getting razor bumps. I use the shaveing gels for sensitive skin and that doesn't seem to work either. What else can I try. That waxing hurts. I have tried it thats a pain you need to be numb for .

No matter what razor you use, you'll still get the razor bumps... Waxing works better because you're pulling the hair out by the roots, so when it starts to grow back in, it has a tapered point at the end that helps it to find it's way more smoothly up and out... And because it takes much longer to grow in, the skin has had time to fully get over the irritation by then.....  when you shave, you're chopping the hair off midway, at skin level... So what you're left with is a thicker, courser blunt end... The skin in that area, being so soft and delicate, tends to close over the shaved hair shaft, so that when it starts growing back (almost immediately) you have a thicker blunt edge having to push it's way through the skin... Hence, the bumps.
Any new sharp razor will do. The ones with 3 or 4 blades will be better because it means less passes over the skin, so less surface irritation (which adds the the skin puffing and closing over the hair shaft... Be as gently as you possibly can and treat with aloe or a bit of hydrocortisone, several times over the next few days to help reduce swelling and irritation... And remember... If you're shaving yours.. Then he should be shaving his too... Misery loves company ; )
(p.s. Waxing gets easier every time you do it.. But it does hurt like mother the first few times.)

I have the same issue. Although I've found no way to prevent the razor bumps, treating it right away with A&D Ointment makes them disappear pretty quickly, usually in a day or less, and it's very soothing to the skin. Mothers use it for diaper rash, but its not just for babies.
