Helium gas is used in various applications like for example, the most common us of helium is filling party balloons. A helium cardio-pulmonary resusitation pump is used in heart surgery. It is used in arc welding and lasers. Some of its military applications are in nuclear detonation simulators, fuel rockets, used in super sonic wind tunnels, as a cooling agent for nuclear reactors and guidance correction of missiles. It is also used in preservation of rare documents, detecting leaks and for superconductivity.
