You do not know if you missed a period until you do. You can test, but I don't see what good it will do. If afterwards, yes, but be sure to use morning urine as this is when it is highest in hormones as you eat, you flush away these crucial hormones and may get a false reading. Also, there are blood tests you can have done at a family planning clinic that are much more accurate
