    Reading is rated as the largest town in Berkshire in regards to the urban-sub area and population. The city is also regarded as the 17th largest town in England too. Reading has a population of around 232,622 that are accommodated in an area of 55.35 km.

    Reading is unitary authority and a town in the English country of Berkshire. Located mid way between Swindon and London, Reading, is close to River Thames and River Kenneth. The eastern towns of suburbs of Earley, Lower Earley, Woodley and Calcot are also incorporated in the town of Reading. The city is  situated at the grid references that is around 66 km, to the west of London and 48 km southeast of Oxford that is around 40 miles to the east of Swindon.

    Reading is the largest town in England not the 17th....it is not a city.

      I live in Reading and yes it is the biggest town in Berkshire  and a grate place to live in ! And also the biggest town in England because it was going to be a city but the roads in Reading are much different then a city's and more similar to a towns so they put it as a town . Hope this helps !
