Who Won The Golden Shoe Award In The Two Thousand And Six World Cup Finals?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The golden shoe award is given to the player who scores the most goals in a world cup finals.

In Germany, the venue for the two thousand and six world cup finals, the winner of the golden shoe was Germany's Miroslav Klose, who collected the award after topping the scoring charts with five goals.

This tally of five goals, was the lowest total to win the golden shoe since the finals were held in Chile in nineteen sixty two.

The winner of the silver shoe was Hernan Crespo the Argentinian striker, who scored three goals; the same in fact as Brazil's Ronaldo.  The award was handed to Crespo as he had spent last time on the pitch than his Brazilian counterpart, thus making his goal scoring record in for the tournament more efficient.

Better news for Ronaldo was he became the world cup finals leading all time goal scorer, taking over from Germany's Gurd Muller.
