Yes, my chihuahua can swim, but not all dogs can. There is myth that all dogs can swim by nature. You have to try first. I brought my chihuahua for his 1st swim when he was 7months old. I have another min-pitcher, he is very fat and old. I brought him along and for 8years this is his 1st swim. And he can swim well.
