Industrial diamonds have a myriad of uses- a fact, which furthermore increases their undeniable importance and a sudden paucity could cause enormous havoc for many stakeholders, most of whom belong to the fields of manufacturing and mining.  One of the reasons for its immeasurable worth is the fact that not only are diamonds the most brilliant and the most valuable stones man has ever known but they are also the hardest stones that man has ever encountered.

One of the earliest uses of diamonds in industry was in an abrasive powder that was used for sawing and polishing operations and for grinding metal-cutting tools.  Also industrial diamonds come in really handy when there is a need for cutters during drills.  The black diamonds also greatly ameliorated rock drilling for geological and mine prospecting.  Other uses of industrial diamonds include cutting glass and porcelain, dental surgery and for bearings in watches too.
