What Is The Elevation Of Paris, France And How Does It Effect The Climate?

Answer Question

The elevation of Paris France is a mere 129 metres or 423 feet, as opposed to Paris Idaho which is nearly 6000ft and in the Rocky Mountains.
Paris in France lies in a depression, and how this affects the weather is, that it gets very little wind to move the air around and can be cold and damp in winter, and extremely hot and humid in summer. There are many grey days when the smog and low clouds just sit there.
In this aspect it is not dissimilar to Milan, which also sits in a depression and is  surrounded by mountains. Parisians don't seem to mind however, and fiercely boast about the weather in the city of love, and so they should.
