What Do You Know About Boxer Dogs?
Answers
The boxer is a type of dog, related to the mastiff and the English bulldog. They are noted for their strength and jaw which functions like a steel trap. The boxer (also known as the German Boxer), is the creation of breeding alone, Mother Nature did not create a Boxer dog. Instead, various breeding chains were set up and the Boxer dog is the end result. It can however be traced back to a German gentleman called George Alt.
The Boxer's proud head is its most distinctive feature, they should weigh roughly 60lbs of muscle and this requires a great deal of exercise. From person experience, the person taking the dog must also be willing to be exercised too!
A Boxer's temperament is a matter of training, they should be alert but gentle, they can be very easy-going but are can be aggressive around strangers. Like most powerful dogs, they are best not kept alone with small children or smaller/weaker pets.

The boxer dogs are the strongest breed among the dogs. Boxer dogs are one of the grand breeds of dogs. They are famous for having sharp canines and are the coolest of all breeds. They have got medium built. They are so named because of their habit of standing on their hind limbs with their front legs above which seems like they are going to fight and start to box with the paws.
By nature boxer dogs loved to work and are taken as working dogs.
The history tells us that they are trained for:
Hunting
Courier services during war
Police for finding clues
Circus
The blinds as Seeing Eye
Fighting
ACK (the American kennel club) has classified the dog's seven groups. Namely:-
Herding
Non sporting
Sporting
Terrier
Toy
Working
And it was found that the largest working breeds are the boxers. One of the greatest benefits of having a boxer dog of your own is a companion with four legs and a source of personal fulfilment.
Their history can be tracked back to feudal Germany. At that time they were used as haunting dogs which can steadfastly get hold of a boar, bear or a bull before the arrival of their master. They were also domestic for farmers, shopkeepers and can also perform in circus.
The boxer dogs we have today are a bigger breed. They are a mixture of German boxers and some imports of English. Their time began in1880's and they really became popular in the United States in late 1930's – 1940's.
