    How Can I Tell And How Soon Can I Tell If My Dog Got Rabies?

    A bat had flew in an open window. My jack Russel Attacked it before I could stop him. After I got the bat contained, My dog was drooling and making weird noises. Like snorting and making weird noises with his mouth. Should I be concerned?

    He probably got scratched or bit on the face, that resulted in his uncomfortable behavior. Those weren't symptoms, but those show when it is too late. Get him to the vet NOW! Or the rabies will most definitely kill him.

      The virus is incubated in the infected creature for almost 90 days. Its only afterwards that the creature may exhibit external symptoms of the disease. Initially it just causes lethargy, desire to be left alone, fever or loss of appetite. The aggressive behavior comes after that when the animal becomes crazed. The disease is said to spread through the animal's saliva so you should not take the matter lightly and take your dog over to the vet for a check-up ASAP!
