Your parents or legal guardians are responsible for you in the U.S. Until you are no longer a minor or are legally emancipated. You're an adult when you turn 18 and your parents have zero control, legally, after that.

Marriage laws vary from state to state.

Parents will always b responsible for there kids but if you want to know what age legally...its age 18. If your married and live with your parents they will always want to control you. If you live alone you should have a little more freedom.

I believe that parents are responsible for their kids no matter what the age is. Its true that a countries law will label them as an adult at some specific age (mostly 18).No matter what parents are the older adults. If the teen is married, then the teen has taken that decision for him or her self and is accepting responsibility for their future life decisions. No problem with that, doesn't mean parents should think of this as an opportunity to let go of their parentla duties. Ofcourse it does reduce the intensity of certain responsibilities.. :)
